Sotirios K. Goudos is a Professor at the Department of Physics of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He graduated from the Department of Physics of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 1991 and from the Postgraduate Program of Electronic Physics of the School of Physics, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 1994. In 2001 he completed his doctoral thesis at the School of Physics, A.U.Th. In 2005 he graduated from the Postgraduate Program Master in Information Systems of the University of Macedonia. In 2011 he obtained his Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He is a member of the IEEE (Senior member), the Technical Chamber of Greece, and the Union of Greek Physicists. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Telecom journal (MDPI publishing). He is also a member of the editorial board of the journals IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, IEEE ACCESS, IEEE open journal of the communication society, International Journal of Antennas and Propagation (IJAP). He is the director of the research group ELEDIA@AUTH a member of the international research network ELEDIA Research Center Network. His research interests include antenna and microwave design, network design, machine learning, and wireless communications. He is the author of the book “Emerging Evolutionary Algorithms for Antennas and Wireless Communications”, Institution of Engineering & Technology, 2021. He has been elected vice-chair of IEEE Greece for the period 2025-2026.
